Our team goes out again for another team building and this time we had it in Star City, Pasay City. Accessible and we never had to go out of the city. Just can be found in the heart of the metro. Star City offers most number of rides compared to any other amusements parks in the country.
The goodness about Star City even though it's more than 2 decade old, The management still manage to keep the theme park well-maintained, covered, air-conditioned and never failed to offer new, fun and exciting thrills. We went on a Saturday afternoon and some arrived 6 P.M.
I was excited like a child again! haha for it was my first time to experienced Star City's rides and ambiance. The early folks of our team bought the tickets for us and it's "Ride all you can" ticket which cost P400. They ate first because it was past 6 P.M, right after they had their meals they had a mild and very fairy tale-like ride "The Grand Carousel", then we had played some games which needs tokens that will cost you P14 each. There are plenty of carnival kind of games.
"Magic Forest Ride" is a must try ride! - Magic indeed! hahaha
Then we hit "The Viking" ride which gave me hesitations because I might throw up. LOL! the experience lasted almost 5 minutes and left me with a nice impression like your swinging in a hammock with a different intensity and height.
Another attraction that caught my attention is "Star Flyer" but the queue during that time seemed infinite.
But What I'm really eager to try is the new ride of Star City the "Star Frisbee". Which looks like a big pendulum brushed with cotton-candy colors.

This not your ordinary ride! but Please don't leave SC without trying this ride.
What's nice about this ride? less queue because only those who loves new thrill, intense exhilaration, loves great swings and wants to scream out there lungs. And I'm one of them!. In our group only 3 who tried it. As I get nearer to this ride, I admit my hands was sweating, excited and kinda nervous thinking it's really heart pounding. More screams and lots of screaming mouths that I heard and saw. There was this one matured guy who got teary-eyes , almost fainted, sweat on his face and acted that he might vomit after his ride. Seeing him makes us laugh saying "Tingnan mo si manong mangiyak-ngiyak and parang nasusuka" - saying to myself "gusto mo yan diba?!".hahaha
When it was our turn the staff double checked everything if your safety gear is good and then it started.
First swing fast enough that made me think I was about to hit the giant metal bar, while it was swinging the frisbee is spinning also which adds up fun. hahaha and then the 180 degree swings. All I can say is great view from above ,very high enough, very fast motion that you wanna hold on tight to your sit and will just scream and shout. I actually counted the full swings 14 swings that lasted almost 4 minutes. It only took 4 minutes or more but the I felt I was swinging up in the air for an hour makes me think when it will stop. When it was done I was glad and was very weak, my knees had some shivers hahaha, too much air had been filed in my tummy and dizzy that I actually paused and looked for "The John" anticipated that I will throw up but I'm glad I didn't.
Then we tried another family ride the "The Pirate Adventure" very soothing and you will see lots of figure that are familiar like Johnny Depp's character Capt. Jack Sparrow and his nemesis Davy Jones and more.
And we wrapped our Star City bonding with "Surf Dance". It also leaved my knees shaking the ride also took almost 4 to 5 minutes. The feeling is almost the same with "The Viking" but with a different twist because literally the ride spins and swings upwards, downwards and what I hate most the sideways which made me think that I may fall.
Here some of the pictures.
There are plenty of rides for everyone especially for the kids, young and young at hearts.
The park is open 4 P.M onwards every Monday to Thursday and every Friday to Sunday they opens at 2 P.M.
I and my colleagues who tried the extreme rides had a wonderful experience.
