Can't go to Robinson's Pioneer, the Fort or Ortigas Center since they are too far? Fret no more! Distrito is back once again to cater your late night cravings! It offers a wide selection of mouth-watering food, great tasting snacks, meals, pastries, desserts and more from the best home chefs, bakers and restaurants from around Makati.

Distrito is from the same organizers that brought the Mercato Centrale. It opens Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

We decided to check it out after our Madagascar movie trip at Greenbelt since it is pretty near. And we were not disappointed.

Aside from the great food choices, we also enjoyed the Live Acoustic performance (I forgot the name of the singer), Free Wi-Fi and Free Freshly Brewed Coffee (for Makati Med Employees and call center folks alike, although it is good while supplies last).

Distrito is located in the Amorsolo parking lot (beside Makati medical center) along the corners of Ayala Avenue, Armosolo and Salcedo street.

I still have strong recollection of what are the feelings that I've felt in my Enchanted Kingdom experience. Barlig, a place where time stands still...

If you are looking for an off-the-beaten-path nature trip, this is for you. Barlig is a rarely visited remote town up North (belonging to Mountain Province) that overflows with natural wonders. The town, although surrounded by lush forests and mountains, rarely gets visitors probably because of the travel time (usually 13-14 hours) and the road conditions which are highly inaccessible during the rainy season. On the brighter side, this difficulty has helped protect the town from exploitation. From Bontoc to Barlig, we passed through elevated zigzag roads which are narrow and steep. If you have the chance, it is best to sit on the roof of the jeepney to enjoy the view. Don't forget to bring a jacket as it is freezing up there even in summer, as the town is predominantly made up of dense forests with trees covered in moss. Got SPIT on at Quantum Cafe!

It was a night of great food and intelligent comedy thanks to SPIT ( Silly People's Improv Theater ). To give everyone a brief background, SPIT is Manila's premiere improvisational theater troupe, formed in 2002 by actor Gabe Mercado (Da Pulis vocalist, Eto na ang Susunod na Kabanata cast, Yakult's Ok ka ba tyan? among others) and the first Asian group that performed at the Los Angeles Improv Festival in 2004. SPIT is known for their intelligent, interactive, classy and immersive improv  brand of comedy and have been making people laugh their hearts out with their hilarious jokes, impromptu remarks and witty comments.
