Laag 'ta! (lakwatserong feet)

One of my personal favorite trip is exploring Ilocos Norte, I got  mesmerized by its architecture, its rich culture,nature's beauty, simplicity of life in this paradise, food and not to forget how clean and disciplined the Ilocanos are. Now, let me give you summary of how was my encounter and experience to this proud province. We left Manila 9:30 p.m and arrived at Laoag Bus Terminal at approximately 8:30 a.m. following day. It was a long trip and when we arrived we were fetched by a local tricycle driver which happened to be our local tour guide. We decided to get started right away with our long list itinerary, but first we left our stuff in our rented resort.  Here are the scenic spots that we've been in Ilocos Norte. 1. The Hundred Island Adventure It’s almost end of year- September, 2011. Ana, Shiela and I had come to a very stressful state due to work’s pressure. Bar hopping, alcohol and everything in the city seemed to be of no help. We decided for a quick weekend getaway. The question is where? After some discussion and the talk of “TUPIG”, we all decided to hit Pangasinan. Hundred Islands it is…. We hit the road at noon, took Victory Liner bus bound for Alaminos. It was a fun ride to Pangasinan. We arrived at Alaminos around 9 pm and took a trike ride to Lucap point. We had a package arrangement at Tropic Island Resort; dinner was served few minutes after we checked-in. Tired and all yet the thought of alcohol is irresistible, so Ana, Jon, Miles and I decided for a few bottles to end the night. Good thing is the place looks cool.
